Art galleryWelancora Gallery is a contemporary art gallery founded by Ivy N. Jones in 2014, operating out of a restored 19th-century brownstone she owns in Brooklyn's Bedford-Stuyvesant neighborhood. The gallery represents an intergenerational group of artists, with an emphasis on artists of color, placing their work with collectors and institutions, publishing scholarly catalogues, and organizing exhibitions; artists it has shown include Aisha T. Bell, Alteronce Gumby, Leslie Hewitt, Felipe Baeza, and Oasa DuVerney. Welancora also runs Ivy's Projects, a secondary space for emerging artists, writers, and curators, and participates in fairs including The Armory Show, Art Basel Miami Beach, and Frieze Los Angeles. It is a member of the Art Dealers Association of America.
