Skoto Gallery is a Manhattan gallery founded in 1992 as one of the first New York spaces dedicated to contemporary African art, with an inaugural exhibition curated by jazz musician Ornette Coleman. The gallery describes its mission as creating a space where the work of African artists can be exhibited within the context of a diverse audience, exploring the connections of a global culture after modernism. Its program includes solo and group exhibitions, retrospectives, and an online viewing room, and it has represented artists including Wosene Worke Kosrof, Osi Audu, Noah Jemisin, Donald Locke, Katherine Taylor, and Olu Amoda. Skoto Gallery is a member of the Art Dealers Association of America.
