Praxis is a contemporary art gallery with locations in Buenos Aires and Chelsea, Manhattan, founded in 1977 by Argentine art dealer Miguel Kehayoglu. A textile entrepreneur who came to combine ancient Hellenic craft traditions with Latin American painting, Kehayoglu launched the gallery in a renovated Buenos Aires building before later expanding to New York, with the stated goal of promoting Latin American artists to an international audience. He described the gallery's name as a reference to Plato's theory of ideas, framing Praxis as the actualization of a concept. The gallery's roster today spans more than two dozen artists, including Martin Bonadeo, Sofia Quirno, Scherezade Garcia, Gaspar Libedinsky, Tamika Rivera, and Macarena Rojas Osterling, presented through solo and group exhibitions, limited-edition print collections, and online sales.
