Cavin-Morris Gallery
Art galleryCavin-Morris Gallery, founded in 1985 by Shari Cavin and Randall Morris, is a Manhattan gallery and Art Dealers Association of America member specializing in contemporary artists who work outside the art-world mainstream. Its program spans three areas: contemporary self-taught and visionary artists whose work is not made for the mainstream canon; tribal and ethnographic art from major world regions, with an emphasis on masking traditions; and contemporary ceramics, both functional and sculptural, by Western artists alongside makers from Japan, Korea, and China. Across nearly four decades the gallery has emphasized uniqueness, integrity, and visionary authenticity, and it also offers appraisals, participates in major art fairs, and maintains online viewing rooms.
