Lehmann Maupin is a contemporary art gallery founded in October 1996 in SoHo, Manhattan, by dealers Rachel Lehmann and David Maupin, the latter previously a director at Metro Pictures. The gallery later established a flagship space in Chelsea and has expanded internationally with locations in Hong Kong, Seoul, and London, along with seasonal presences in cities such as Aspen and Palm Beach. It has staged artists' first New York solo exhibitions, including for Tracey Emin, Do-Ho Suh, and Shirazeh Houshiary, and its current roster includes Catherine Opie, David Salle, and Cecilia Vicuna. The gallery is also a member of Art Basel Hong Kong's selection committee.
