Superhouse

Superhouse is a New York gallery founded in 2020 by Stephen Markos, who began building an audience for overlooked design history on Instagram in 2019 before opening a small Chinatown storefront and later a larger space at the border of Chinatown and Tribeca. The gallery focuses on research-driven exhibitions of material-driven furniture, sculpture, fiber, ceramics, metalwork, and craft, recovering overlooked late-twentieth-century American art furniture alongside contemporary artists and designers from Africa, the Americas, and Europe. Represented artists' work has entered museum collections including MoMA and the Milwaukee Art Museum, and Markos was named to Wallpaper's US400 list.
