Sean Kelly Gallery is a contemporary art gallery founded in 1991 in New York by British-born dealer Sean Kelly, who came to the city after directing visual arts programming for England's Bath International Arts Festival. The gallery operated privately in SoHo before opening a street-level space there in 1995, then moved to West 29th Street in Chelsea in 2001, and in 2012 relocated to a 22,000-square-foot building on Tenth Avenue in the Hudson Yards district designed by architect Toshiko Mori. Its roster of established and mid-career artists—many working in installation and performance—has included Marina Abramović, Joseph Kosuth, James Casebere, Robert Mapplethorpe, Julião Sarmento, and Kehinde Wiley, alongside several represented estates. The gallery also runs a Los Angeles space and, since 2018, a project space in Taipei.
