Andrea Rosen Gallery
Art galleryAndrea Rosen Gallery was a Chelsea contemporary art gallery founded by dealer Andrea Rosen in January 1990, originally in SoHo before relocating to West 24th Street in Chelsea in 1998. Over nearly three decades the gallery played a defining role in launching the careers of artists including John Currin, Rita Ackermann, Wolfgang Tillmans, Andrea Zittel, and Ryan Trecartin. In 2017, Rosen announced she would close her public exhibition spaces and step back from representing living artists, citing a desire to shift the focus of her career rather than financial pressure. She has since continued privately, retaining her Chelsea space as an office and co-representing the estate of Felix Gonzalez-Torres alongside David Zwirner Gallery.
