Ruiz-Healy Art is a gallery representing Latin American, Latinx, and South Texas artists, founded by Patricia Ruiz-Healy, who holds a Ph.D. in Latin American studies with a focus on art history from the University of Texas at Austin. The gallery originated in San Antonio's Olmos Park before Ruiz-Healy opened a second location on Manhattan's Upper East Side in 2019, extending its program to a broader audience. Ruiz-Healy Art represents San Antonio-based artists including César A. Martínez, Jennifer Ling Datchuk, Jesse Amado, and Alejandro Diaz, and serves as exclusive representative of the estate of the late Chuck Ramirez, whose photography addressed his experience as a gay man living with AIDS. Recent programming has included work by textile artist Consuelo Jimenez Underwood exploring immigration, ecology, feminism, and indigenous identity, shown simultaneously across both gallery locations.
