Puerto Rican Workshop, known as Taller Boricua, is a Puerto Rican and Latino artist collective and nonprofit gallery founded in 1969 in East Harlem, Manhattan, amid the era's Puerto Rican cultural and political activism, and incorporated the following year as Puerto Rican Workshop Inc. Founding members included Marcos Dimas, Rafael Tufiño, and Carlos Osorio, and the organization now operates from the Julia de Burgos Latino Cultural Center. It promotes the arts and culture of the Puerto Rican and broader Latino community through exhibitions, artist talks, workshops, and classes, and describes itself as one of the longest-running Puerto Rican artist collectives in the United States. In 2019 it took part in a twelve-venue Latin American Art Triennial staged across New York institutions including Boricua College, Lehman College, and Queens College.
