Mary-Anne Martin Fine Art
Art galleryMary-Anne Martin | Fine Art is a New York dealership founded in 1982 by Mary-Anne Martin, who had earlier built the Latin American department at Sotheby's and organized the first U.S. auctions of Mexican, in 1977, and Latin American, in 1979, paintings. Devoted to Mexican and Latin American art, the gallery has handled work by Leonora Carrington, Miguel Covarrubias, Frida Kahlo, Wifredo Lam, Diego Rivera, David Alfaro Siqueiros, Rufino Tamayo, and Remedios Varo, among others, and has placed pieces in the Museum of Modern Art, the Metropolitan Museum of Art, and the National Gallery of Art. Long based in a Beaux-Arts townhouse on the Upper East Side, the gallery shifted in 2024 to a research-and-consultancy model without a public exhibition space.
