Osmos
Art galleryOSMOS is a curatorial and publishing project in Manhattan's East Village, directed by Cay Sophie Rabinowitz, a former Artistic Director of Art Basel and Senior Editor of Parkett magazine. Begun in 1997 as a project space in Berlin, OSMOS has grown into an operation spanning a storefront exhibition space, a quarterly journal called OSMOS Magazine that examines photography's uses in contemporary visual culture, artist monographs, and management of the estates of artists Darrell Ellis and Gretchen Bender. The gallery mounts exhibitions of emerging and established artists working in photography and related media, alongside public conversations with participating artists, and maintains a second site, OSMOS Station, in Stamford, New York.
