Miguel Abreu Gallery is a Lower East Side, Manhattan gallery that opened in 2006, with its program initially organized around the films of Jean-Marie Straub and Daniele Huillet. In 2014 the gallery expanded to a second, roughly 8,000-square-foot space nearby, where it stages large-scale projects alongside its original location. Known for a rigorous conceptual and philosophical program, the gallery presents one-person and group exhibitions as well as performances, film screenings, and lectures featuring artists, curators, and theorists; represented artists include Alex Carver, Liz Deschenes, Jean-Luc Moulene, R.H. Quaytman, Eileen Quinlan, Pamela Rosenkranz, and Blake Rayne. Since 2011 the gallery has also operated Sequence Press, a publishing imprint produced with British publisher Urbanomic.
