Art galleryMary Ryan Gallery is a Chelsea, Manhattan print gallery founded in 1981, specializing in modern, postwar, and contemporary prints and works on paper. It opened with early U.S. exhibitions of British linocuts, Provincetown woodcuts, and Atelier 17 prints, and became the exclusive representative for modern printmakers including Sybil Andrews, Hugo Gellert, and Louis Lozowick. By the late 1980s its program expanded to postwar and contemporary prints and photography, working with artists such as Josef Albers, Louise Bourgeois, David Hockney, Alex Katz, Ellsworth Kelly, Roy Lichtenstein, Joan Mitchell, Kiki Smith, and Andy Warhol. A member of the Art Dealers Association of America, the gallery has mounted more than 200 solo and group exhibitions.
