The Leslie-Lohman Museum of Art is a museum in SoHo, Manhattan dedicated to collecting, preserving, and exhibiting visual art by LGBTQIA+ artists and art addressing queer themes. It grew out of a collection first shown by founders Charles W. Leslie and J. Frederic Lohman in a SoHo loft in 1969, became a nonprofit foundation in 1987, moved into a larger SoHo space in 2006, and received New York State museum designation in 2011 and full accreditation in 2016, at the time the world's only museum devoted to LGBTQ art. Formerly the Leslie-Lohman Museum of Gay and Lesbian Art, it now holds more than 22,000 objects and mounts rotating exhibitions and public programs.
