The King Manor Association of Long Island, Inc. is the nonprofit that has operated King Manor Museum, the historic home of Founding Father Rufus King, in Jamaica, Queens, since 1900. It formed after the City of New York purchased the estate following the death of King's granddaughter Cornelia King, taking responsibility for the house's interior furnishings, collections, and public programming, while the city's Parks Department owns and maintains the building and surrounding Rufus King Park. Now one of the longest continuously operating historic house museums in New York City, the Association's programming centers on Rufus King's role as a framer and signer of the U.S. Constitution, a U.S. senator, and an early opponent of slavery, and includes free public tours.
