Uprise Art is a women-led, Manhattan-based online contemporary art gallery founded in 2011 by Tze Chun, a Columbia University graduate and former dance-company director who saw a gap between working artists seeking an audience and young professionals without access to original art. The platform sells original artwork and limited-edition prints across painting, drawing, sculpture, photography, and mixed media, spanning a range of price points, and pairs collectors with complimentary art-advisory specialists who assist individual buyers as well as corporate clients, interior designers, and architects. Uprise Art also maintains a physical gallery space in New York for exhibitions and private viewings, combining an online model with in-person guidance for collectors.
