KAPOW is a contemporary art gallery on the Lower East Side of Manhattan that launched in 2022 as an independent exhibition space extending Kourosh Mahboubian Fine Art, a dealership built on three generations of family art-dealing experience dating to Mahboubian's start as a dealer in 1988. The gallery is dedicated to emerging and mid-career artists on the cusp of wider recognition, presenting focused solo exhibitions intended for close, sustained engagement with the work rather than large group surveys. Recent programming has included exhibitions for artists such as Aaron Cobbett, Nazanin Noroozi, Naoto Nakagawa, Camille Eskell, Yiyi Wei, Janet Loren Hill, and Ana Garcés Kiley, alongside collaborative projects and participation in the Future Fair art fair.
