Hetrick-Martin Institute (HMI), founded in 1979, is the nation's oldest LGBTQIA+ youth services organization, based in Manhattan. Alongside counseling and education, it runs visual and performing arts programming — including photography, video, and an annual Youth Arts Showcase — for at-risk LGBTQ youth.
