Art galleryAdelson Galleries was founded in Boston in 1965 by Warren Adelson, specializing in nineteenth- and twentieth-century American art, and relocated to New York in the early 1970s, where it remains based in the Fuller Building in Midtown Manhattan. The gallery is known for its expertise in American Impressionism, Realism, and Modernism, and Warren Adelson is an internationally recognized authority on John Singer Sargent, having initiated the artist's catalogue raisonne project in 1980, as well as on Mary Cassatt. Since 2012 his children Adam and Alexa Adelson have expanded the family business into contemporary art, opening a gallery in Palm Beach, Florida in 2018.
