Hal Bromm Gallery is a contemporary art gallery in Tribeca, founded in 1975 by art dealer and designer Hal Bromm, a Pratt Institute graduate, when he began showing art in Tribeca as an extension of his design practice. Often credited as Tribeca's first contemporary gallery, it moved twice within the neighborhood before settling at its longtime West Broadway home in 1977. The gallery's early roster included Rosemarie Castoro, David Salle, and Robert Longo, and in 1981 it presented Keith Haring's first solo exhibition. In the early 1980s Bromm also ran a second space in the East Village that showed artists including David Wojnarowicz and Mike Bidlo.
