Crown Heights Jewish Community Council is a Brooklyn nonprofit serving the Crown Heights community with social services (housing, food, elder and youth assistance). In 1977 its director founded the Chassidic Art Institute gallery to showcase local Chassidic artists, following a landmark Brooklyn Museum exhibition the council organized.
