Dumbo Art & Gallery Walk refers to the First Thursday Gallery Walk, a free monthly event in Dumbo, Brooklyn, organized by the Dumbo Business Improvement District (Team Dumbo). Held on the first Thursday of each month from 6 to 8pm, the walk keeps Dumbo's galleries open late with new shows and walking tours across the neighborhood's gallery district, which today includes more than a dozen independently owned galleries alongside 150-plus artist studios and public art installed throughout the neighborhood. The event continues a gallery scene that traces back to the artists who first settled in Dumbo's industrial waterfront buildings.
