Castelli Gallery continues the gallery Leo Castelli opened in 1957 on Manhattan's Upper East Side, which became one of the most influential venues for postwar American art. Castelli gave Jasper Johns, Frank Stella, and Roy Lichtenstein their first one-man shows and represented artists including Robert Rauschenberg, Andy Warhol, Donald Judd, Dan Flavin, Richard Serra, and Bruce Nauman, championing Pop Art, Minimalism, and Conceptual Art; the gallery's archives were donated to the Smithsonian Institution in 2007. Today the gallery, led by Barbara Bertozzi Castelli, operates from midtown and Upper East Side locations and mounts exhibitions of artists such as Joseph Kosuth, Robert Morris, and Keith Sonnier. It is a member of the Art Dealers Association of America.
