The Bronx Documentary Center (BDC) is a nonprofit gallery and educational space in the Bronx dedicated to documentary photography, film, and journalism, using community-based documentary practice to explore social issues and drive change. Its Youth Photo League offers free after-school training in photography, film, and journalism for Bronx middle and high schoolers, while its Films Fellowship supports young adult documentary filmmakers from underrepresented backgrounds with a nine-month program of stipends, technical training, and mentorship. BDC also runs adult workshops in English and Spanish, a Senior Photo League for older adults, and presents several major photography exhibitions each year, including the Latin American Foto Festival, alongside public screenings and discussions.
