Alexander Berggruen
Art galleryAlexander Berggruen is a contemporary art gallery on Manhattan's Upper East Side, opened in 2019 by its namesake founder, who previously worked at Christie's in the Post-War and Contemporary Art and Impressionist and Modern Art departments after earning a history degree from Yale University. The gallery focuses on primary-market contemporary art, mounting exhibitions with living artists alongside historically informed presentations, with a program weighted toward painting. Recent programming includes a summer 2026 group exhibition featuring Baoying Huang, Alexandria Mento, Nina Molloy, and Cate Pasquarelli, an upcoming solo exhibition by Danny Fox, and presentations of Raul De Lara and Madeline Peckenpaugh at the 2026 Armory Show.
