SacSix is a Miami-born street artist based in New York City, working primarily in wheatpaste. He moved to New York in 2006 for a career as a creative art director in advertising, then spent nine years photographing the city's street art before creating his first wheatpaste piece in December 2015. His ongoing #SidewalksAndIcons series depicts portraits of pop-culture icons in dialogue with New York's streets, while his Urban Zen Garden series draws on Japanese zen-garden practice. His work has appeared in Spike Lee's commercial for the Grammy Awards and in MTV Video Music Awards programming, and Artnet named him one of ten street artists to watch. He has also collaborated with brands including Adidas and Macy's on public art projects.
