Jade Purple Brown is a New York City-based illustrator and digital artist who works primarily on an iPad, creating bold, color-saturated images of confident, empowered women drawn from 1960s-70s design and pattern. Originally trained in fashion marketing, she taught herself Photoshop and Illustrator before shifting into illustration, design, and creative direction; Adobe named her a featured artist in 2021. Her clients have included TikTok, Nike, Apple, and Canon. She has also collaborated with the nonprofit Groundswell and the brand Urban Decay on a community-painted mural in Bushwick, Brooklyn, portraying a Black woman alongside the words 'History In The Making.'
