Chris RWK is a New York City street and studio artist from Staten Island who holds an associate's degree from FIT and a BFA in painting from Hunter College. He began tagging walls as a teenager before developing his signature slouched robot figure with an X-marked heart, an icon he uses to explore emotional states such as resilience and vulnerability. The name Robots Will Kill emerged during a 1999 residency in Vermont, and in 2001 he launched RobotsWillKill.com as an open platform for overlooked artists, which grew into a street-art collective. His murals include a 2009 collaboration with artist Veng inspired by Where the Wild Things Are, and in 2023 he held his debut solo exhibition with Harman Projects, "PROMISE MADE. PROMISE KEPT.," on Manhattan's Lower East Side.
