BKFoxx is a self-taught street artist and muralist from Long Island, New York, known for photorealistic murals painted entirely with spray paint — no brushes, no projectors, no stencils. Born in 1988, she began experimenting with spray paint in 2013 in abandoned buildings before moving on to large-scale public walls in New York and, by invitation, abroad, with murals in cities including Paris and Kyiv and public projects in Holyoke and Lynn, Massachusetts, through the mural organization Beyond Walls. Her process typically starts with a concept she stages and photographs, then paints from the resulting reference image, aiming for images that are potent and thought-provoking, often with social and environmental themes. She has said she focuses on public art because art is important for everyone, and that some art should be temporary and appreciated in real time.
