Triangle Arts Association is a Brooklyn-based nonprofit founded in 1982 by sculptor Anthony Caro and philanthropist Robert Loder, built around the idea that artists benefit from unstructured time and peer dialogue rather than professionalized outcomes. Its Brooklyn studios host a year-round Residency program and an intensive two-week Artists Workshop, both open to national and international artists working in any medium, with private studio space, regular studio visits from visiting curators and critics, and shared communal facilities. Over more than four decades the organization has built a network supporting artists from the Global South, with residents covering their own travel and housing costs.
