Studio De Manu
Art galleryWhite functions as a policy, the administrative color of compliance: paperwork, freedom, gallery walls, the promise of neutral. These paintings and assemblage works picture the everyday surfaces where assimilation happens: family rooms, devotional corners, sun hats. Standardized white is dragged and scumbled across sanctuaries and relics until the image is made acceptable. In each piece the white sits differently, so erasure reads as action, not absence. What survives are edges, a brim, a wrist, a veil. The surface seems calm, yet the material remembers what it covered. Please come close. Open studio invitation: see what refuses to disappear.
