Staley Wise Gallery
Art galleryStaley-Wise Gallery is a fine art photography gallery in Manhattan's SoHo neighborhood, founded in 1981 by Etheleen Staley and Taki Wise with an inaugural exhibition of Horst P. Horst photographs. The gallery was among the first to treat fashion photography as fine art, building a program centered on fashion, portrait, landscape, still-life, and nude photography. Its roster has included historic photographers such as Lillian Bassman, Helmut Newton, Louise Dahl-Wolfe, Horst P. Horst, and George Hoyningen-Huene, alongside photographers the gallery helped bring into the fine-art market, including Herb Ritts, David LaChapelle, Ellen von Unwerth, and Patrick Demarchelier. It continues to mount exhibitions, including a 2026 show devoted to Marilyn Monroe photography.
