Perrotin
Art galleryPerrotin is the New York outpost of the international gallery founded by Emmanuel Perrotin in Paris in 1990, when he opened his first space at age twenty-one. Its New York program began in 2013 on the Upper East Side before relocating in 2017 to a roughly 25,000-square-foot space on Orchard Street on the Lower East Side, inside the former headquarters of the S. Beckenstein fabric company, unveiled with a 2018 exhibition by Jean-Michel Othoniel. Early in its history the gallery championed artists including Takashi Murakami and Maurizio Cattelan; today its roster spans more than sixty artists and several estates, among them KAWS, JR, Sophie Calle, and Xavier Veilhan, with the gallery mounting around 45 exhibitions a year across ten locations worldwide.
