NOHO M55 Gallery is an artist-led gallery in Chelsea formed from the 2012 merger of two long-running New York collectives: M55 Art, a SoHo artists' collective founded in 1969, and Noho Gallery, founded in 1975 just north of Houston Street. Operating on a shared philosophy of exhibiting high-quality work in all media, diverse in style and content, the gallery lets its member artists control their own exhibition programming while drawing on the two groups' combined decades of experience. It presents a rotating schedule of member and guest exhibitions, including group shows drawing on international artist-alumni networks, at its current Chelsea space.
