The National Academy of Design is an artist-led honorary society and museum founded in 1825. After decades on the Upper East Side, it opened a new exhibition and program space in Chelsea (519 West 26th Street) in 2023, where it presents exhibitions and public programs centered on its roughly 500 elected Academicians.
