Louis Armstrong House
Art galleryThe Louis Armstrong House Museum occupies the historic home of jazz legend Louis Armstrong in the Corona neighborhood of Queens, where it preserves and shares his legacy through exhibitions, archives, and education programs. Its permanent exhibition, "Here to Stay," features rare photographs, recordings, and personal artifacts exploring Armstrong's life and influence, supplemented by rotating shows such as "The Corona Collection." The museum's archive includes handwritten letters, home recordings, and daily itineraries, accessible through digital collections and on-site research appointments. It also runs a trumpet-learning program for young musicians, after-school residencies bringing jazz into New York City classrooms, guided school tours, and Queens Jazz Trail concerts, alongside community programs addressing housing, oral history, and social justice.
