
Jeffrey Deitch
Art galleryJeffrey Deitch is a New York- and Los Angeles-based art dealer and curator who has worked in the contemporary art world for decades. He opened his first gallery in 1972 while still a student, later worked in Citibank's art advisory department, and in 1996 opened Deitch Projects on Grand Street in SoHo, a gallery known for showing emerging and street artists including Kehinde Wiley and Cecily Brown. From 2010 to 2013 he served as director of the Museum of Contemporary Art, Los Angeles, where he curated Art in the Streets, a survey of graffiti and street art. Since 2016 he has operated galleries in SoHo and Los Angeles, mounting thematic exhibitions of established and emerging artists.
