Interstate Projects was a nonprofit contemporary art gallery in the BogArt building in Bushwick, Brooklyn, founded in 2011 by building owner Ted Hovivian together with gallery director Peter Hopkins. Over roughly a decade of programming, it presented large-scale solo and group exhibitions that gave emerging artists room to realize ambitious projects, and it ran a studio program for emerging artists, a curatorial fellowship, and a writing and research residency. Its space combined a traditional upstairs gallery, an unfinished basement, and an outdoor courtyard used for offsite events and screenings. The organization's own website now signals that its programming has concluded after a decade of exhibitions and projects.
