Independent Curators International (ICI)
Art galleryIndependent Curators International (ICI) is a New York-based nonprofit founded in 1975 to support the work of curators and strengthen art communities through experimentation, collaboration, and international engagement. Co-founded by Susan Sollins and Nina Castelli Sundell, the organization does not run a permanent gallery but instead produces traveling exhibitions, publications, public programs, and curatorial training opportunities that connect independent curators with artists and institutions worldwide. Now marking five decades of activity, ICI continues to serve as a resource and network for curators at various career stages, with an emphasis on expanding whose curatorial voices reach wider audiences.
