Arts Horizons is a nonprofit arts-in-education organization founded in 1978 by John Devol, a trumpet player and music educator who performed in the orchestra of A Chorus Line for its entire run. Beginning as an interactive music assembly program featuring Broadway musicians, it has grown into a full-service organization whose mission is to enhance the lives of people of all ages and abilities by creating equitable opportunities to engage in the arts. With offices in Englewood Cliffs, New Jersey and Harlem, it provides performance assemblies, teaching-artist workshops in dance, theater, music, visual and digital arts, and professional development for educators, reaching more than 250,000 students and teachers annually across New York, New Jersey, and Connecticut.
