Ward Yoshimoto
OtherWard Yoshimoto is a sculptor based in Red Hook, Brooklyn, drawing on the polarizing forces of his Japanese American heritage and the growing plasticity of the Suburban American dream. He holds a B.F.A. in photography from Art Center College of Design (1984) and an M.F.A. in sculpture from Brooklyn College (1999), and is a director and founding member of the international art collective ICOBA. His sculptural practice employs hardware cloth and found objects in assemblage work referencing architecture, minimalism, and digital media, commingling American and Japanese traditions and craftsmanship.
