
Ralph Shinogle
Ceramics / PotteryRalph Shinogle is an architect and multidisciplinary artist based in Greenpoint, Brooklyn. A member of the American Institute of Architects, he earned a Master of Architecture from Kansas State University in 2010, then spent two years as a Peace Corps volunteer in an urban planning office in southern Albania before relocating to New York City in 2016. He currently works as an architect focused on New York City school buildings, including historic renovations and energy retrofits. Outside his architecture practice, Shinogle makes ceramic work he describes as "anthropomorphic pots," alongside painting and photography, and has shown his ceramics through Greenpoint Open Studios, an annual event in which local artists open their studios to the public.
