Phil DeSantis

I am an artist living in Brooklyn. I am both a painter and a photographer, and as such each medium informs the other in my work. In this series of photographs, there is a painterly quality. I am looking for how the elements of art: color, shape, and light come together to form an abstract representation of the real world. By zooming in on a particular subject, I try to get to the core of an image.
