Lisa Schatz is a Brooklyn-based photographer and director, originally from Austria, who has worked professionally behind the camera for about fifteen years, directing, editing, animating, and shooting with an emphasis on practical in-camera effects achieved through lighting and composition. She built her career as a video editor and motion graphics artist before moving into directing, and over the past decade has worked across event visuals, music videos, documentaries, national and international television commercials, and corporate films. She favors a holistic, form-follows-content approach to storytelling, blending live-action and animation techniques for each assignment, and is based in Gowanus, Brooklyn.
