Kiki Carrillo is a painter who earned an MFA from the New York Academy of Art in 2015. She is known for an ongoing series of oil-on-canvas portraits called Doll Babies, imagined figures rather than portraits from life, including works such as Leather Doll Baby (2017) and Rainbow Doll Baby. Her paintings have appeared in the Academy's annual summer group exhibition at Flowers Gallery in New York and have come up for auction through platforms including Paddle8. Carrillo's practice extends into sculpture as well, and she shares her work on Instagram under the handle kiyocarrillo.
