Sunday Studio is a line of useful vessels and decorative objects of clay inspired by the balance of angles and curves with a sense of playfulness. Each piece is individually wheel thrown and/ or handbuilt with care in Brooklyn, New York by Joanne Lee, in the spirit of the perfect Sunday.

My name is Joanne Lee, a multi-disciplinary designer with a long history in leathergoods and accessories in the fashion industry and product design in home decor. I started throwing on the wheel in 2014 in a weekly Sunday pottery class, and the time I spent in the studio became a ritual and part of my perfect Sunday. My pieces are meant to evoke a sense of home and comfort on a sunny Sunday, while having a bowl of cereal over a crossword puzzle, sharing a cup of coffee with a loved one, or whatever your own Sunday ritual may be. Since that beginning, my work has evolved to include one of a kind organically handbuilt vessels and sculptural objects, and I am continually experimenting and exploring to satisfy my curiosity.
