
Jason Mitchell
OtherJason Mitchell is a Brooklyn-based illustrator and painter who works under the name Midas Images, producing acrylic paintings, colored pencil pieces, watercolors, and graphite drawings. He is best known for detailed, large-scale renderings of dive-bar bathroom graffiti, translating markings from spots including Wing Bar, Max Fish, and 169 Bar into gallery-scale works, along with a watercolor series of cassette tapes called Cassaladaze and a self-published Marvel-inspired comic, Make Mine Midas. A graduate of the Rhode Island School of Design, Mitchell has done commercial illustration work for brands including Jolly Rancher, Converse, Captain Morgan, and William Hill.
