Christy Ayala is a self-taught Latina visual artist raised in the Bronx and based in New York. Working primarily in acrylic paint, she produces urban, surrealist, and abstract pieces that draw on personal experience to convey messages of love and pain, alongside interests in graphic design and drawing. She took part in the 2019 Grand Scale Mural Project organized by Uptown Grand Central. Ayala also serves as Vice President of Fantasy In Color, an artist collective that organizes creative events and coordinates projects for local artists across New York City's communities.
