Bill Roundy

I am a Brooklyn cartoonist, journalist, and alcohol enthusiast. For 10 years, I drew the comic strip “Bar Scrawl” for the Brooklyn Paper, drawing cartoon reviews of watering holes in Kings County, and I am currently working on a graphic novel about cocktail history. In the last few years, I have also dipped a toe into the gallery world, creating ink-and-watercolor images that tell more personal stories about people and their relationships with their drinks. My goal is to use the tools of comics - exaggeration, simplification, word balloons, and sequential images - to tell the stories behind the bottles.
